I have a Roundabout that's 2.5 years old. It just started giving me trouble with the strap adjustment. One side gets tight but the other won't. It still moves but it's looser. When I look at it underneath I can pull on it but when I pull the strap by her feet to tighten it, no luck. Now, it does seem to tighten all the way if she's not in the seat and I can pull it the full way. Does this make sense? It's not getting hung up around her shoulders, where it's threaded through the seat. Any other ideas of where to check? Should I call Britax?

are both sides routed through both slots in the base? That's usually the culprit. check out this post on carseatblog.com (http://carseatblog.com/?p=894) for a picture of what I mean.

My husband just checked (although I might do the same when the snow stops) and said everything is as it should be according to that website. We've never removed the harness. I actually didn't know you could.

I never did figure this out....haven't really been out much, but as long as I move the belts all the way out then all the way in, then pull out to where they need to be it's ok. That's a real pain to do every time. I need to call Britax

Do they tighten together when your child is not in the seat? I mean that if you take her out and tighten the harness as if she were in there, does it behave the same way?
I would uninstall the seat, bring it inside where it's warm and pull the entire cover off. Then fully loosen and tighten the harness repeatedly, watching to see if it's getting hung up on anything, or if the splitter plate in the back is flipping over or getting caught.
Britax is probably going to ask you to do this anyway for troubleshooting when you call them.
