That looks nice! I read a bit about it on the Edmund's forums... HOLY MOLY!!! People are getting 8K to 10K off MSRP! I really don't need a new car yet... but I might try to convince my husband to go for a test drive with me.
My only reservation is that the 3rd row has no top tethers -- is that right? (ETA: I read this on the Consumer Reports review of this car.)

Yeah no top tethers in the third row. I have been on DH's case to get Mazda to fix this for a year now and no luck (he works for Mazda).
The 3rd row is very accessible and I have no trouble getting a 6 and 8 year old back there in boosters seats. I do love the fold down 3rd row. Very convenient when you are out and about and need room for groceries and such. I can also get a stroller behind the 3rd row with no problem.
Still it is a great car and very fun to drive.

Big SUVs have big discounts still. You're getting discounts on every car now (even the Prius), but the best discounts still tend to be on the bigger cars cuz they're expensive and people are still hung up on the price of gas (even tho it's pretty cheap now).
I'd like a minivan now, but we just don't have the cash at the moment and our cars are still really new. I'm hoping that when we're in the market again, the deals are still really good.
