I thought people would like to see this who are looking at these seats.

Do you think the scenera will last her to 35 pound RF?(or close to it?)

Stats: 9 1/2 months(1 week turns 10 months), 10ish torso height?, 17 pounds

(her face is blurred, because I do daycare for her and rather her face not shown). I have watched her since 4 months, she is growing like a weed.
This is what happens, when both my sons are at school and it was just me and her. LOL! Carseat fun! ;-)

You think she has a small torso?

Cosco scenera-Second slots from bottom(I should move the crotch buckle up one right? It was under her in this pic-i already did so hopefully it is ok).http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/mommyto2boys0205/carseat%20pics/January2009036.jpg

She has tons of time. My ds fit the snugride like that at some point around 3.5 or 4 months and had completely outgrown it sometime before 7mos. He lasted in the SS1 until 14mos (or would've if it wasn't for the fact I'd already moved him out of it. ;))

My ds does have a long torso though, as you can see in my siggy pic, but I would say 10" at just shy of 10mos is on the shorter side. At just being 10" now she'd just barely be fitting in to the MA...

With the Scenera the buckle is supposed to come from under them, or be straight down, so it should be fine:)

Thank you. I am going to see how it fits her in the scenera on the one I moved it from. I just found my manual for it and reading it ..

Her mom just got her new seats, because she said she was too big for her seat(stupid height limit posted on seats). I told her otherwise though.
She got an AOE(50 pound limit) for her mom's car, and 2 sceneras(pink)

she has tons of time.

I'd say she'd make it to at least a year in the snugride... so 2yrs in the ss1 (growth slows after that 1yr mark)

I can't tell you what she'll weigh, but I'm betting she'll last in the scenera rf to 3 or even 4.

but those are great picks... and hey... will she let you play with/try out your own kids in the 50lb AOE and compare it to the FPSVD and other convertible seats??

HA! Hopefully ;-)! I am going to ask her once she puts it in her car when it is warmer for me to try logan in it ;-)!

I am going to try logan out in one at BRU once it gets warmer out ;-)

I'm pretty sure there is a comparison thread around here too along with measurements of the top harness height. The new AOE is a full 17.5", so kids will last in it a good 1" longer than the Britax convertibles.

yes... but nothing like a kid to sit in them to compare... and besides, who doesn't want to play with carseats??

She also has a booster Rider (Michael) to test it out as a booster!!

Oh I am for sure trying hers when the weather warms up. If the harness is that high this might be an option for a seat for my daycare kiddos ;-)! I have to see how well it puzzles. Can the base come off of these new seats? I know my old AOE could.

DS fit in his snugride (2003 20lb version) until almost 11mths. But you DCK looks like she has a smaller head than him, lol! I'd love to get a new AOE just because, but I REALLY don't need it.

I'm sure it does... after all, every single 3-in-1 seat they have requires the base be removed for booster use.
