I'm looking at the Outlander 09. Does anyone have any feed back? Anyone driving one? I have an eight year old in a HB Turbo and 17 mt. old in a rf Blvd. is it room enough? It's seems to have all the features I'm looking for at a great price. Any feed back would be helpful or suggestions. The car is in the 25,000 to 27,000 that I'm looking at. Anything would be helpful.

Have you test driven one? It's main complaint is the lower end interior quality of materials and the noise. If you're ok with those things as well as the price, then it's not like it would be a bad choice.
I'm not a big fan of SUVs. For $25,000-27,000, you can get a very nice minivan like a Sienna or Odyssey. Course, not everyone is willing to drive a minivan.

Mitsubishi has come a long way over the years, but they still struggle with resale value being fairly low. If you're one to drive a vehicle into the ground (as in, pay it off, then continue to drive it for another 3-5yrs) then this might not be an issue for you. OTOH, if you're one to tire easily and 'need' something new every few yrs, then this would be a big issue. People that need new vehicles every few yrs are smart to buy higher end brands like Honda, Toyota... brands that maintain resale value. As for interior quality, that's a pretty subjective topic IMO. I tend to prefer the more basic cloth interior set-up, base models work for me, while other's look to interior bling as a deal breaker. In the end, buying a vehicle is one of the worst ways a person can spend hard earned cash (IMHO), so my only advice is to think it through, and do a lot of research before you buy. Just as we have our car seat forums, there are a ton of vehicle forums you can join. I'd do that and read, read, read for a good few weeks. :twocents:
Good luck,

I have an 05 Outlander. The one you are looking at would be a newer body style, but basically the same.
It works well for our family of 4, although it is on the smallish side. I could personally use a little more cargo space, however, when we need more space, we just take dh's truck. I don't think that you would have any problems getting your seats into the back though. We have our dd ff in her MA, and ds RF in a 29" snugride. We have the snugride on the passanger side so that we can sit a little more forward so that the front seat back is not touching the snugride. There is still room up in front for both dh (6') and I (5'2").
I personally really like the Outlander. For our next vehicle I think I would like a little more space, but then again, when you go up to the next size, you are going up in price quite a bit, and I personally don't want to drive a minivan.

We looked at an Outlander before buying our Sienna. While we could have feasibly fit three across the second row, I had a big problem with buying a car with third row that was so limited. The salesman we spoke to knew all about all of the mechanical and electronic features, he knew nothing about the safety features. The Mitsubishi website states that the third row can not be used with a car seat (upon further research, we found this includes boosters). It is also not suitable for passengers over 63" tall or you risk "serious head injury."
With such limited use of the third row, we decided to pass.
