We bought my mother-in-law a Marathon for Christmas. I installed it RF in her 2006 or 2007 (not sure) BMW 530i, and I'm just not happy with the install without having it tethered. I can't seem to find a tether point under the front passenger seat. Anybody else had this problem?

Nothing, Nada, Zilch. BMW's are pretty much impossible to Swedish Tether in, I've scraped up many toes of many shoes getting on my knees digging around under the front seats trying in vain to find a place that would work.... I know the install does seem more wiggly than normal... the best fix is to use a carseat leveler (or fat pool noodle or tightly rolled towel, but I think the leveler is really the nicest, it's made by 'safefit' or sunshine kids has one, too, for half the price). That just fills in the space below the front of the base really solidly so there's less potential for the back of the seat to wiggle. Or nothing at all is fine, as long as the seat is tight at the belt/latch path, it's perfectly safe.

How do you have the marathon secured? We have a roundabout in our 530xi and I found that RFing it worked better with the seatbelt. I do have it tethered....I'll see how I did it and get back to you.

Thanks for the replies. I just find that the rear of the seat (the part facing forward) seems to lift a bit if you tug at it. I have a rolled towel under the front of the seat, but it still doesn't satisfy me. I may be a little anal, but my other installs (Tahoe and Silverado) are rock solid.
