So, DS is starting to get sick in the car. Twice, it happened FFing and once RFing (every time was over an hour in the car though). He is 27months and 30lbs... I want to turn him RFing at least while the weather is so cruddy. Because of the design of the TrueFit the puke goes all the way down onto the vehicle seat. I don't care about the car it is all the nooks and cranies on the TruFit that puke can get lodged (PITA to clean BTW). So I was wondering, would you be comfy putting a very, very thing recieving blanket under him (maybe halfway up his back and under his bum) with a hole cut out for the buckle? I am just trying to prevent if he does get sick it won't go through the seat. Does anyone know of any safe options for this problem?

Is the piddle pad available in Canada? Those are very thin and don't interfere with the harness. They are also waterproof, so the liquids don't seep through.
Otherwise, I think a very thin receiving blanket would be OK.

I thought the piddle pad only worked with the radian? But, yeah, I wouldn't worry about a thin blanket. As long as it passes the "coat test".

When Joy was about 3 months old she got a tummy bug that had her projectile vomiting everywhere. What worked for us was a fleece blanket over her seat and the vehicle seatback and tucked into the chestclip after she was buckled. When she got sick it landed on the blanket, but didn't soak through, so it made it easy to clean.

Thanks for the advice.... I was going back and forth on it, I just don't want to make a mess of his seat more than anything. I think I have seen the piddle pad before, I will have to take a look!

Sunshine Kids has its own version that works in the Radian. The Piddle Pad is from a different company.
