I have a burning question LOL! Is there a difference between the two? My moms 4Runner (2003 I think) has both marked in her back seat. From what I can remember (I could be wrong) the LATCH one was in the seat bit and the ISOFIX was in the seat (the part your back is on... a little higher up I think)Can you use one marked LATCH and one marked ISOFIX on the same seat? I need to read her manual but I thought I would ask you guys since I don't have access to that right now. TIA!

I wondered the same thing and found a fairly good explanation here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_13216).

Same thing. Here is a c-s.org FAQ page on UAS/LATCH/ISOFIX http://www.car-safety.org/latch.html

I'm going to close this thread since it's a duplicate and leave the one in the technical forum open since it's more a technical question.
