For my friend... Has anyone put a Nautilus in a Trailblazer? (Hers is an 04.) Did it fit 100% on the seat? (Having never seen a Nauti in a car I can't picture how it would fit. If I have to I can measure but won't be doing it until after the holidays.)
And, does anyone know how the Avenue or the Radian puzzle with the Nauti RF? Avenue would be the first choice, probably, this is a budget-conscious situation, but the mom likes the looks of the Nauti for the older kid, and the baby needs to fit RF next to the oldest's seat (with either oldest center and baby outboard or baby center and oldest outboard, either is acceptable, though baby outboard is preferable because RF seatbelt install was a BEAST in this car, LATCH is preferred, and anchors are outboard.) Baby is older (1 1/2) so needn't be all the way reclined.
Right now the eldest is riding in my Radian center and the baby is in my Scenera outboard and they just about fit, leaving one seat free. One seat must remain free for an adult passenger, who will not sit in the middle (a personal preference, but from a safety standpoint, there's no headrest in the middle.)
If anyone has another suggestion for a fairly budget-conscious seat solution for these kids in this car I'm open to suggestions. :) The older child is 4 1/2, has a 16 1/2 inch torso and weighs about 43 lbs., and mom wants her harnessed as long as possible. (She's a wiggler.) Baby is 1 1/2, normal-to-large torso, and weighs about 25 lbs. Both kids are wide front to back (will that cause a problem sitting on the Nauti crotch strap? Just thought of that...)
