2007 Kia Rondo.... where are the UAS and does it allow centre. Thanks a lot!!

Per the LATCH manual, the '07 Rondo's second row outboard seating positions have full sets of LATCH/UAS (lower anchors and top tether anchors). The second row center has a tether anchor only and center lower LATCH/UAS installs are not allowed (actually the info. about center allowability isn't provided by Kia and thus it's not expressly allowed).

The info. in the LATCH manual for the third row is ambiguous, with the third row center saying "N/A" which implies there is no third row center seating position in the vehicle at all. However, the third row outboard spots are also listed as "(2) N/A" which either means there are 2 third row outboard tether anchors, or there are no third row outboard seating positions, with the latter interpretation making no sense because the Rondo is listed in the Kia section under vehicles with three or more rows of seats. :confused: Adding somewhat to the confusion, there's also a note saying the tether anchors are on the cargo area floor, and it's not clear to me if the note is referring to second row or third row tether anchors. :o I think in this case, the owner's manual for the Rondo is a must read for you in order to determine the exact tether anchor locations and their availability for the third row. :twocents:

Thanks a lot for the info... I will pass it along and tell her to find a tech.... sounds confusing and I can't help her much because I am in Canada and she is in SC. Where is the best place for me to tell her to find a tech in SC... I am still waiting on her exact location (she is a online friend that I have talked to on another board for about 3yrs now) but I noticed there are none listed on the car-seat.org directory.

The car-seat.org listing of techs would be a good start, or someone who sees this who may know of a tech in SC who could help out since you didn't find a SC tech on the car-seat.org list.

I have a (Canadian) rondo. For the 7 seater the second row top tethers anchors are on the seat back. In the 5 seater the second row top tether anchors are on the floor, according to the owner's booklet. The manual does not show any top tether anchors for the 2-seat third row, nor can I find any, so I assume there are none. There are also no lower anchors in the third row. I really wish they would change that!
