along with my seat belt bunching question, I'm finding the one strap on my frontier is a tad longer than the other when installed?? like an inch. could it be installed too tightly? could the teather be too tight? it's a rock solid install with SPB. any ideas? I called Britax and he's sending me a another set of harness straps. but I'm not sure that is going to solve anything.

Check to make sure the metal ring where the hip strap connects to the shell is all the way in the slot. I knocked it out on my Frontier once and the weight of the metal ring pulled the strap down enough to trap some slack under the seat when I installed it.

The same thing was happening to one of my friends with her Nautilus. When I uninstalled her seat and looked at the back, it turned out that the top tether had accidentally gotten wrapped around one harness strap on the back of the seat. So when they tightened their top tether, it made one harness strap "shorter" than the other. Once we fixed the top tether so that it was routed correctly, everything was fine.
Having a seat tightly installed should not make one harness strap shorter than the other. I'd recommend uninstalling the seat to check the harness on the back and bottom of the seat.
The other thing would be to make sure that your child is sitting in the exact center of the seat. Is it exactly the same problem every time? My kids have gone through weird phases where they always seemed to scoot over more to one side of the seat. It wasn't really noticeable until I tightened the harness, and found that it was uneven. That would be a really easy thing to check out first :)!
