Can anyone tell me how many lower anchor systems are in this vehicle? I haven't seen it yet but she figured she only had centre LATCH.... I said check the vehicle manual to be sure, just curious. Thanks.

I had to use google to find that it's sold as the Suzuki Reno in the US (which is what the LATCH manual is based on). The 03 - 06/07 MYs have full LATCH for the two outboard seats with one additional tether anchor for the center position. The TAs are on the back lower panel. Suzuki does not allow borrowing the lower anchors. You will have to use the seatbelt for the center position.

Thanks for looking that all up for me. I tried googling too... I can't seem to find it. I know after sep 2002 all vehicles need to have LATCH but I thought I read somewhere they had to have a certain number of them... can't seem to find where I read that though??

The Chevy Optra isn't in the LATCH manual. It only has US vehicles, but it seems that it is the same as the Suzuki Reno (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_Reno)- and apparently the Suzuki Forenza as well. If it's the wagon, then the TAs are in the rear roof panel but the lower anchor info is the same.
LATCH is mandatory for all passenger vehicles made after September 2002. Other than regular cab pickups, some convertibles or those over the weight requirement, pretty much all vehicles have at least two sets of lower anchors and 3 total top tethers. Some have more, but those are the minimums.

Thanks... sorry when I first read I thought you had the wrong car, didn't realize they changed it for the USA/Canada. That answers my question then, she has to have 2 sets of anchors. She thought she only had center LATCH, said she could only find two on either side of centre.
