Right now our 2nd car is a 1999 Chevy Venture Van....and it has a lot of miles on it. It was also free from my parents, so even though it is not the car we would have chosen (bad, bad safety ratings :( )..it was FREE!
We are considering getting a different car in the near future..or the possibility that we will be forced to if something bad goes wrong with this van (and we are not going to fix something big--it is not worth it to us).
So, what car should we get instead??!!
We are looking for something older--our other car is a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid--and we can't afford another car payment like that one!
My first instinct was to get another--older Honda CIvic ..like a 2002 or so.
I really REALLY want something exceptionally safe. Is there something better than another Civic though? Safety and family car wise? Any experiences?
We would prefer a car, just because of the price issue--but we would also consider another van.
We have 2 boosters (both backless for now, but looking at getting a backed booster for my 7.5 year old) and a RF Marathon. :)
Any suggestions??
