View Full Version : Seems like Toys R Us is getting alot of new seats in

I'm not sure if this was posted about before....but I was just on the Toys R Us website looking at Car seats....:whistle: lol, and came across this seat. A Priori convertible seat. Does anyone know the exact specs of this seat? The description has 2 different weight limits (25 pounds and 35 pounds).

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the new year and new seats showing up. :D Apparently the new AOE with the higher weight limit and higher harness height will be here sometime in the first quarter of 2009 too if everything is still on track.

And there's 2 new patterns of the EFTA that aren't on the website. Our store (west end) is sold out of them, but one is Hanson, and the other is a DLX model with the alligator LATCH connectors (blanking on the pattern name right now, but I posted it in another thread. :o ) One of them will be a special order in most stores, the other should be carried regularly from what I can tell. :thumbsup:

The Priori won't be coming to Canada until the CMVSS are changed. It complies to FMVSS only.....

2 new Triumph's, a new Chase (steeplechase pattern), and a Generations in 'oakland' (which looks like baby poop).

So its a false hope on the website than? LOL.

Gotta love that.

Are there any plans to change the CMVSS or have the Priori tested to CMVSS standards?

Yeah, I emailed Dorel with a question about the Priori, and they said it is not coming to Canada... wonder where ToysRUs got the info from??

Allport - Will the Rodi booster be coming, or is that a mistake as well?

LOL, the Oakland pattern does resemble baby poop now that you mention it. We've been out of the other generations seat, so this one has sold, but it's certainly not high on the pretty scale. :p

Transport Canada is reviewing and re-writing part of the CMVSS to go to Part I hopefully early in the new year. Until it goes to Part I there's not much more I can say! Who makes the Rodi - doesn't ring any bells....

What color? We had a yucky tan colored one for awhile that was $79.99. It was a "special purchase" thing though and we didn't get more in after they were gone.

It's tan - but not a bad colour tan (at least not in comparison to some of the other seats we've got in). I actually really like it :eek:

For an $80 seat (which is pretty much unheard of here), it's nice - deep shell, narrow, seems comfy enough and what not.

Now - that 40lb FF harness is a disgrace, but for the price of it, and for parents who actually READ the seat, I think it's a good seat.
