Bossy Sprockets! ebay/live.com question

i was just about to buy another carseat, knowing i'm not due for five more months, but unable to resist the roundabout we'll need with free shipping and the live.com 30% cashback. well, today it's only 20% :(

i've been steadily "stalking" this carseat since saturday and it was 30% last i checked, monday night. does anyone have any idea how often live.com changes their rebate amounts? i'm probably better off waiting, as it surely will go back to 30% off at some point, right? help me mamas - this would have been my first ebay/live.com purchase though i've used live.com before with no issue (well, except that comfort1st was offering 15% cashback but when the rebate came through it was only for 5% and nothing was ever done about it).

I had heard on here that they change monthly.

I also had an issue where I bought it at 1 rebate amount, but they entered in a different order date and so I got a lower rebate amount. I'm STILL waiting for them to fix it!! It's been over a month now, they keep saying they are working on it! I'm getting really pissed at live.search! I may not use them again and just stick with ebates and fatwallet.

The cashback amount for the 209.00 PS3 Guitar hero world tour band kit has dropped from 30% to 20% since yesterday also. :(

I had made up my mind to go ahead and take a chance and buy on ebay to save 60.00 and pray I nothing breaks on it but now I am not so sure saving 40.00 is worth it. I know $40.00 is still alot of money but I am scared I will have a problem with the drums and need to go to a local store for help.

right. that additional 10% can make a difference when you're dropping a couple hundred bucks. i heard on babybags that it was only for the thanksgiving weekend - so maybe they'll up it again one more time before christmas? i guess that means cyber monday was the last day it was 30% but yeah...then i realized that on another large purchase, where shipping wasn't included, the cashback was only the sale price. makes sense, but now that it's at 20% i'm not going to get since the discount really isn't as much as i thought. the carseat has free shipping so i'm still considering that since the difference is only about $14. it's a weighing of my options - hold out to save more, or take a chance that it sells out.
