Meaning the seat that actually weighs the least, or with the lowest starting weight? :)

My guess on lightest infant seat would be the Mico..? I think it's 8.65, and the SnugRide is 9.2 ... What's the KeyFit? The Embrace? I couldn't find stats for the KeyFit22 or the Embrace.

I thought the First Years' Via was fairly light, but I'm not sure how light it is. :shrug-shoulders:

I still haven't even seen one :) I don't shop in any Canadian stores other than Safeway... :) It might be lighter.. they're all within like a lb or 2..

The VIA is really light, I haven't held it in comparison to the other seats, but it was my first thought as well. I don't find the Maxi Cosi to be super light, but it's definitely lighter than the Graco seats - I suspect the Graco ones are the heaviest of all of them? The Sure Fit is probably lighter than the Maxi Cosi Mico, but I'm not 100% sure. If they're similar in weight I'd go Sure Fit before the Mico because I don't like the puzzle buckle on the Mico & other Dorel infant seats, and the Sure Fit has a normal metal buckle.

I believe the Snug ride is 7.? and the Safe Seat is the 9.?

Thanks for the help...was looking for the seat that actually weighed the least. Is the Via here in Canada? If so where?

The only place I know of that sells it is Zellers, and right now they only sell it as part of a travel system. Apparently the manufacturer is also not offering additional bases for it yet, either.
