View Full Version : Deal on an SS1?

I found one at albeebaby.com for $94... from what I can tell this is an excellent deal, and I haven't found one anywhere else for less. Anyone know of a cheaper price somewhere that I might be missing?
Also... the $94 SS1... I assume it's an older DOM, but that's okay since Tyler is our last baby. Any other reason that it would be reduced so much?
I just posted in the coffee break forum about my DS now weighing 18lbs, so we're looking for a higher weight infant seat.
I hope this is an appropriate post for this forum, I wasn't sure where else to ask this... please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

You might be able to shop through live.com and get 30% back... actually - I'd check ebay for albeebaby... they are babysurplus on ebay. A lot of times they will have their clearance stuff on ebay for about the same price.
It takes 60 days to get your cash back - but worth the wait!

No I just checked... they don't have the SS1.
BUT - they do have a 2008 brook marathon for BIN of $169 - that would be about $120!

Thanks for checking for me, I appreciate it! Too bad they don't have it there. That's a great deal on the Marathon, wish I had an excuse to get one... I already have a convertible waiting for him. It's an AO though, that Jessie outgrew RF at 19 months (hence the new EFTA), and at the rate she's going, he'll need the EFTA before she's done RF, so I'll need a convertible at that time... hmmm....
Anyway, thanks again! I'll keep searching. Maybe tomorrow (Cyber Monday) there will be more deals. I'm just afraid if I wait too long, the albeebaby deal will disappear. It's been $94 for a long time.

Are they an "authorized dealer" at their store through ebay? I'd hate to risk losing the warranty.

I actually called them about the $94 SS1. He told me it is an older DOM, but couldn't tell me how old.

Oh okay, great! Thanks! Like I said, DOM a year or two old doesn't bother me since Ty is our last baby. Since it's older, I'll bet the price will stay the same until they sell out, so maybe I don't have to worry about it going up. If I don't find any "Cyber Monday" deals that are better, I'll probably order this one.
Thanks again! :)

hrm, when i called to have a replacement seat sent out i wasn't asked where the seat was purchased. i bought it on ebay from babyage so i'm sure it would have counted as an authorized seller but they never even asked.

Its obviously your own risk... but for me I'd have no problem buying from albeebaby, babycatalog or babyage... I wouldn't buy from a no name, and I wouldn't buy if it said 'customer return' or something to that effect - but I know a lot of times they actually list for the same price on ebay as they have in their stores - its just a way to use the live.com cashback.

Oh okay, thanks! I had never heard of live.com before. I'm fine with ordering directly from albeebaby.com, I've heard lots of great things about them.
