This is my daycare baby.... Looks like she has alot of room left-how long do you think this will last? She is on second to top slot and about 2 inches to go in torso height until she is even with top slot.
She is almost 8 months(later this week), 17 pounds, not sure how tall...
Please tell me through the winter ;-) Once it comes light jacket weather I hope to move her to the scenera(as long as my new daycare baby starting in January will stay under 20 pounds and fit in her snugride-she is a HUGE eater, so I am praying she slows down and becomes petite like her 3 year old brother) ;-)

Easily through the winter, unless every drop of growth is in her torso. I would imagine she may have close to a year. The top slot isn't important for rear facing since you need them at or below, but the shell height is important. With five inches to grow in her torso that's probably 10-12 overall inches, if not more depending on her proportions.

Dad and mom are ALL torso...so it worries me! LOL! I think she has a good size torso, but I can't tell on babies that good....

Does she wear bigger shirts than bottoms? Do you need onesie extenders? Do you have to roll her pants up? Those are some ways to tell.

She wears size 6/9 months and going on 12 months shirts(needed for length) and 3/6 month some 6/9 month pants! LOL!
And onesie shirts are a joke and needs a size 12/18 months if they are a onesie type shirt.
So, I guess that means tall torso? (I don't know why I never thought about that)

To me it looks like she has lots of time left in the SS1. :) My long torsoed DD2 used a SS1 from 6 months of age (we got it for her in mid-winter after she outgrew a Latch Loc infant seat by height) and DD2 had less room than that heightwise when we got the SS1 for her. She made it almost to her first birthday before maxing out the SS1 by height.

I wouldn't even think about it. She has tons of time in the SS1. :twocents:

I agree... unless that kid does not grow in her legs at all, she's got at least the winter, maybe over a year!
she's got TONS of head room to spare.
