Honda CRV tether anchors

HI, Does anyone know where the tether anchors are in the older CRVs? The 2002 and younger ones have them on the back of the seat. Honda's specs say they are there in pre 2002 but I am not sure where they are. I saw two hooks on the sides of the floor of the back behind the seats. Are they anchors. My used dealership guy didn't know! Thanks Much!:)

The LATCH manual says they were optional through the year 2000. You can purchase a parts kit to add 2 outboard anchors in those models, in the ceiling near the rear window. Cost would be about $15 each for parts, plus maybe a half hour of dealer labor unless you do it yourself. You can get the parts for under $10 online, part number 82410-SE3-C01.

For 2001, 3 tether anchors became standard in the ceiling near the rear window. 2002 added LATCH outboard and retained the tether anchor in the middle.

Those hooks are probably cargo tie downs and may not be suitable for a top tether.
