ATTN nursing mamas and their supporters!!!
It seems Victoria's Secret has had a few incidents in which they turned nursing mamas away from their stores. Two incidents have happened in the past week alone. They used such terms as "unsanitary" and compared breastfeeding with "changing on the sales floor".
Victoria's Secret needs a wake up call that breasts are not just a sexual object, but that they actually have a function, and that is to feed our babies!
So, there is a NATION WIDE nurse-in planned for Saturday July 1st at 1pm your local time, at your local VS store.
All nursing mamas and their supporters are encouraged to attend. The more people there are, the bigger the impact will be.

Thanks for posting this. I've never set foot in a VS store, but maybe now's the time. I'm assuming they don't sell nursing bras there, lol, but it would be funny to show up at the nurse-in and ask.

I have been in there shopping (three times since I've been married maybe??) when DD was nursing (not in the store- just at the time) and I always tell them they should carry nursing bras. Usually I get a polite "That's a good idea" or "Never thought of that" for the sales person. I haven't bought a bra there since before my honeymoon, but hey, I can try!

Breastfeeding in their stores is unsanitary:mad: ???!!!
Ok, and a store full of undergarments that have
been tried on by everyone and their mother is
so clean that it needs to be protected from the
dirty mom and baby - C'MON!
That is just really unbelievable!

I wish they sold nursing bras, I say it every time I go in. lol I love their bras and they're all I wear when I'm not nursing (which isn't much in the past few years). :) I'll have to pass this on!

This makes me wish i had a nursing child! I have a shirt (its too small now) that says "future breast feeder" i might squeeze into and go buy DF a present. I've been buying a collection of after birth and after wedding clothes from them. I think i'll go in and ask if they sell nursing bras while wearing my shirt or ask if they know how to fit them. I've been fitted there several times during my pregnancy but not since i began lactating and the belly thing freaked them out (they recoil if they touch it like its contagious!)

I did it! I went in and asked to be fitted for nursing bras and get this the lady made an attempt! She basically measured like normal then suggested a larger size but heck she tried. She was a mom so i guess she understood woman make milk and babies drink it.
