I installed a SR base in anAccord yesterday, and need some insight...when installed at the correct level, the base isn't contacting the vehicle seat except at the very front. The vehicle seats are quite sloped, and it was a prenatal install, so needs the full 45dg recline. It was a really secure install, but I'm just not 100% comfortable with it, given how little of the base is actually on the seat. Any thoughts?

Do does it sit with the carrier in the base? I have seen this happen with just the base installed but no carrier in the base. Once the carrier was in the base everthing sat flush with the vehicle seat. This was even before baby's weight was added to the seat.
If you feel the recline is not at 45 degrees a rolled up towel or a pool noodle cut to size can be used to help achive the proper 45 degree recline.

In the center of some accords (not all) it is very hard for the parent to install correctly and get the base to contact the seat.
In those cases I help the parent with the outboard seating position which "hugs" the base a little more and it is easier for the mom to get it right.
Sometimes at the bight in the center the base does not fit really close, and it is easily done outboard.
