My child's grandmother is coming in a few hours. Finally, after having the RF battle with her, she is taking her again. I have a radian I need to install RF in the center position in the back of a 99 ford explorer 4dr. Lap belt only and retracts from the wedge of the seat. How in the world would I get that kind of belt to lock? Am I better off putting it on either side seat?

Those kind of belts automatically lock as they retract, they are generally the easiest kind to deal with when it comes to carseats. :)

So position the seat. Pull the seat belt all the way out and hold. Feed through the belt path and buckle. Let go of the seat belt. Push down on the car seat so the seat belt feeds back into the retractor.
