I asked a question and then i figured out the answer. The last time I did that the mods erased the question for me. I just meant they could delete this one too :o

You should be able to delete the thread. In the right hand corner it says thread tools, there should be an option to delete thread on there. Also, you can go to edit your first post and it should let you choose to delete the thread (some forums allow it and some don't).
If that fails, flag your first post and ask for it to be deleted.

I'm sorry. I've seen a couple of political avatars and thought they were allowed
I'll change it right away

There may well be. Moderators aren't generally proactive with enforcing every guideline. It would take far too much time. Instead, it's generally more reactive to reported posts and hot topics. I would have never noticed if you hadn't posted a thread titled "avatars" in the feedback forum.

Can we make this more widely known?
I'm sick of the political ones (avatars) :o

After Tuesday I'll find some time to crack down in earnest.
Anyone who wants to use a "Marvin for President" avatar will be exempt!

Hmmm... after Tuesday you shouldn't have to crack down too much, I should think (though there might be some tempted to gloat )

Well, as much as I like the idea of a President named Marvin, I once had a fish who committed suicide. He jumped out of his bowl and drowned quietly on the countertop. It was dreadful. I'm not sure I want a President with such unstable tendencies. :twocents:
My DH had a fish that jumped out, onto the carpet. When he found it, he peeled it off the carpet, and threw it back in the water. It was fine.

Hey now, you can't judge all fish on the actions of one fish. How do we know you didn't have a mentally unstable fish?

I don't like the tone of this smear campaign. Why don't we stick to the issues?

Uh, yeah on the suicidal fish. We bought a certain type of fish (I have no idea what they were called) but they were clearish with like a neon stripe and they would jump out of the tank into the heating register. We had about 3 or 4 of them do it. Fortunately I believe Marvin is much more stable than that.

I'll just bet Marvin supports assisted-fish suicides. You know, for the poor fishes who can't make it out of the bowl on their own.

Marvin probably wishes to leave that up to the individual fishy and their home states.
Btw, I know I've already endorsed Marvin for President, I'm just ....well, who is his running mate?
