DD varies btwn 36-38lbs and is 38.5" tall, she just turned 3 last month

Just remember to switch to the short belt path when DD reaches 40 lbs. And, depending on what vehicle you drive, at some point you will need to switch to the seatbelt. In most vehicles LATCH can be used either to 40 or 48 lbs.
