I was thinking about this earlier. I have heard that to be ECE approved the manual needs to be in several languages and clearly illustrate how to properly install in pictures. (It is one of the differences between USA standards and ECE standards)
So I was looking at the britax se site and they have some manuals in other than swedish and some only in sweedish. Is what I heard untrue? Or are those sweedish approved, but not ECE? (sorry didn't think to look throught them and check it out)

All Swedish seats are ECE R44, there is no longer a separate standard for Swedish seats. The old "T+Standard" was faced out in May of this year. It was basically a stricter standard which had many measuring ounts in the neck and head area. That means that is was not possible for a forward facing harnessed seat to pass and be certified "T".
I haven't heard about the manuals having to be in all different languages but it might be true. Since the ECE R44 certification means seats are certified all over Europe I think the deciding thing would be if Britax in a country chooses to "officially" sell the seat there.
I think it's beyond stupid we have these great and safe rear facing sats, which are certified in Europe, but the countries don't sell them.
There is talk about bringing the Swedish "T" standard back and using it on a voluntary basis. It would be a plus for any seat to be certified both T and ECe R44.
