Hello

As the title says really i am trying to decide between the britax and the brio and was just wandering if any of you who have these seats could give me some measurements. The main measurement i am after is that from the back of the car seat to the back of the child seat when it is rear facing so i can work out how much space in the back it would take up.

I am trying to find which seat would still allow us to have adequate space in the front to drive and use front passenger seat as we will shortly need to be ablt to fit two seats in the back. DD is currently about 22lbs, 17mths and about 78cm tall.

If anyone has any advice or feedback on either of these seats that would also be appreciated. I am in UK so limited as to which rear facing seats i can actually get hold of. We drive a Honda Civic and don't have a huge amount of space so need the most compact one which still does the job :)

TIA

Claire

Are you anywhere near Milton Keynes?

That is where the shop is based that sells them both in the uk!

Just a thought?

Obviously there are other uk seats that rf - but only to approx 29lbs - was it deffo one of the higher weight rf ones you wanted? My daughter is 3 and weighs 27lbs, so she would still fit in the likes of the britax first class. (made the mistake of turmimg her ff at 20 months and there is no way she will turn back now!) My youngest is 19 months and approx 21lbs, i actually have him in a radian 80, although not exactly 'legal'. He also has a first class and has tonns of room to rf for ages as long as he does not hit 29lbs any time soon.

There are other uk rf seats, although not deffo sure of weight limits on all of them:-
Concorsd Ultimax
Graco Junior Mini
Nania Spider, Driver, Maxim & Sprinter
My Child remi Travel Basic
Jane Racing
Recaro Polaric.

Hi

THanks for thinking of the great Swedish rear facing seats, they will keep your daughter far safer for many years to come. Is there any way you could disable your airbag in the front seat? I mention this since it would enable you to be far more flexible with car seat placement and safety is not reduced. Having a child in the front seat, airbag disable of course, is as safe as in the rear due to a few other factors than pure crash testing stats.

As you know, the Zento and Two-Way are from Sweden and you will find a high percentage of kids sitting rear facing in the front seat. Especially those who have more than one child. I've got my 2-eyar old daugher siting in a Britax Hi-Way in the front and my son previosuly sat there until age 4+. The Hi-Way is by the way a great seat, I personally prefer it ahead of Two-Way or Zento.

Nice weekend
