I don't think ANY aftermarket product that goes on the seat is acceptable. I think this could void your warranty if put on your seat. Plus, I couldn't find anywhere that stated these were fire retardant. In my opinion, NO I don't think they are safe.:)

"Modification of any kind by the addition of third-party aftermarket products could reduce the effectiveness of the child restraint system and therefore prevent the restraint from performing as designed resulting in an injury to your child. "
This cover is a modification of the child restraint, and therefore is not acceptable for use on the CRS.

Good grief, No. Not safe at all.
And the price! 75 dollars?!
Absolute junk IMO, unsafe, voids manufacturer from liability, re-routes harness, doesn't look like it would fit properly -- even on a Britax Marathon which it's shown on. Complete disaster.
ETA: go to the Press section of the LillyPad site. This company was actually profiled as a news story. You can watch the footage.

Isn't that like 73467236 times even more unsafe than just putting on a non-Britax cover?

Hmmm, I agree it seems unsafe and awful, what surprises me is that they can legally sell them. If it voids liability and TC recommends no after market products.... why do they even allow it?

Because there is no legislation to stop them.
