We have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. DS (23 mo) is currently RF in the drivers side second row captain's seat in an Uptown. DD is due to arrive in a few weeks and will ride in a SS1. I'm thinking of moving DS to the passenger side captain seat, putting DD on the rear bench, and taking out the driver's side captain's seat to allow us some 'inside' room to get in and out of seats, put on and off coats for the winter. The van manual says that to use LATCH in the rear bench, it must be in rear-most position and 2 clicks reclined. I'm worried this will limit our trunk space too much. If I decide to install the SS1 with a seatbelt, can the bench be more forward and upright?
This is all theoretic at this point as I haven't tried installing the SS1 in the rear at all yet....that would be a good weekend project. Thanks in advance!
