Is this product legal in Canada?

Only under CMVSS 213.3 Custom Restraint. It can be ordered if you have a prescription for a disabled child. They are not as safe as a car seat so therefore "we" don't want them used universally but "we" understand that there are children that require them for transport. There are certain disabilities that the E-Z-On works fantastically for and these kids may be too big or not capable of sitting in a regular car seat. There is one legal importer in Canada who provides the required paper work (must be a letter, etc). Also, the vest type restraints do not fall under the legal definition of a car seat (must have sides, back, etc) so provincially do not fall under the HTA for enforcement.
