Well I finally got the dang Radian installed more upright. Then DS1 (23lbs) sat in it and it reclined to 45 degrees.

But once he got out of the seat, it sprang back upright and I moved the drivers' seat back so it would touch the back of the Radian (and I guess essentially hold it up). And I put my 14lb DS2 in the Boulevard.

So... here's my question. Initially I had the straps through the third slots and they are just a hair above his shoulders. Now that I have them in the 2nd slots and they're below, they tend to slip on occasion (and I have to remind DH EVERY time to MAKE SURE they are UP ON his shoulders). So... 2nd set or 3rd set??

ALSO...
This is my Freaking Boulevard that I just got from Britax b/c my other BV had issues w/ the headwings. It's Aug 08. It's brand new. And I think the straps are fraying. Are they? I'm not 100% sure what fraying would look like but is this the start of it? It's on both sides, just on the right strap.

And in case anyone was curious... here is the new Britax D-ring next to the Radian D-ring

Thanks

I would check to see if the slots in the shell line up with the slots in the cover. I just moved my dd's straps up to the third slots cause she looked about even with them. But now I'm not sure because the cover comes down a bit, so the actual slots are higher than what I'm seeing.

Yep, I'd leave the straps down. He's a little too much below the middle slots for me to feel comfortable with him using them. There's not a huge gap between the 2nd and 3rd, so he should be ok using those ones until he's closer.

As for the straps, it looks like it could be the beginning of the same problem others have had. I'd suggest loosening and tightening the harness each time to avoid that problem - but then you have to be careful that the adjuster strap doesn't fray.... As they are right now there's absolutely no problem, but keep an eye on them anyways.

OK thanks... that was one of the reasons I switched seats too... I figure IF it's compromised, it'll hold 14lbs better than it will 23 :)

And yeah... he's HUGE... holy cow! DS1 wasn't that size until 6-9 months. :ROTFLMAO:
