is it ok for a rf MA to turn slightly to the center? it's installed passenger outboard with l&s belt. the tether is on, but not tight. it's in a chevy blazer that didn't have latch. it did not move at all in the belt path, but seemed to want to turn in some. i let my friend borrow it to see if her ds would do better in the car. he has a ss1 but screams and cries everytime she puts him in the car. :( i hope this helps.
Are you using the lock off? Is it a switchable retractor?

no, i could not get the one closest to the buckle closed. :( it kept popping open. and yes it's a switchable retractor and i locked it.
What about the farthest one?

i locked that one, but only the lap belt part not the shoulder part.
Well, there is you problem! Ok, so how I do it. Don't worry so much about the one closest to the buckle. Pull to cover off at the foot. Feed the seat belt in and buckle. Tighten from the buckle side. Ok, shuold have said, best to do from the buckle side, because of what I do next. So, when it is tight, I then lock the lock off, then switch the retractor. Hoepfully that makes sense.
I had a lot of issues with the lock off, until I changed my order. I still get a rock solid install.

thanks judi! she may be bring me the seat back today. unless she decides to buy it. :D then i'll show her the trick to install it. she pretty receptive to learning. her uncle is actually a tech and taught her how to install her ss1. which she did a pretty good job. it had a little more movement than i like, but less than 1 inch.
