Has anyone been able to install a Britax Regent in their Odyssey on the small side of the 3rd row?
I can't get a secure installation. I used the short route with the shoulder/lap belt. I locked the belt at the retractor and it was very tight. But the carseat actually leaned over toward the middle of the row!
I know the middle of the 3rd row would be easier but I wanted to have more room for storing strollers, groceries, etc.
Any help would be appreciated!
What year? I have done it in a 99.

One of our techs has an '07 Oddy with a Regent pass outboard 3rd row. It's been awhile but I think we had to twist the belt stalk but it's installed with recline bar & short belt path. I'll give her a call later today to find out for sure.

My Odyssey is an '06. Just out of curiosity, I tried installing the Regent in the middle of the 3rd row, and it's a very tight installation. But I would much prefer to install it in the 3rd row behind the driver, if possible. The Regent seemed like it was too wide for the driver side 3rd row narrow seat and hung over the side a bit. Other people have this problem?

Getting ready to possibly install my regent in the 3rd row of my '05 Ody, not sure which position yet... just bumping this up to see if anybody had any more success or tips.
I need to look at the twisted belt stalk, I havent looked at that in my car ... so that is OK to do?

So here's a specific question then:
Is it possible to install a Regent in the CENTER position using a seat belt install? (That funny seat belt coming from the roof.) I have an '05 Ody.
I assume that you must be able to. The manual indicates it is fine...although I keep seeming to miss key points from the manual. Haven't tried it with a Regent, don't know if I even want to at this time. BUT I have just realized that on the '05 Ody there is only one tether point, in the center, and you CAN NOT have a tether reaching to that anchor from one of the outboard positions.
SO... if it is not possible then basically you cant put a FF carseat in the 3rd row of the '05 Odyssey, with a seat belt install, and have it tethered.
Yeah, that would be baaaad.

You may twist a seatbelt buckle up to 3 full twists. You may only need one twist, or you may need 3, but the limit is 3 full twists.
You can also use the seatbelt that comes down from the ceiling. They can make for trickier or harder installs sometimes though.

I have mine installed in the 3rd row driver's side of an '04 Odyssey. It is a good install with no problems or special issues.
