2001 dodge caravan third row install

I have a question about the third row of my van - the seat is all the way back on the track - for the heck of it i put a car seat back there just to see and the thrid row seat is so close to the middle seat that there would be no place for the child's leg to hang down:eek: i read the manual and it says something to the effect of make sure the seat is all the way back - which it is and recline the seat back 2 clicks - but it has no recline lever:confused: anyone have this year van (not grand) and able to fit seats in the back? So far all i can fit is the joovy!

well, the seat slides on a track also - so we were able to slide it back a little bit - there is no recline so I am assuming whatever the factory set it at will be acceptable for car seat install. The Marathon went in ok if i removed the head rest and reall had to press the base into the seat of the van so it wasn't so much towards the front. I highly doubt i could/would attempt a RF seat back there - the TF was way too big - so for now a MA will work but when we have more kids I think i will go for a Grand caravan!

You have the 3rd row all the way back? Are the 2nd & 3rd rows installed in the correct track locations?

I'm just wondering because I have an '01 Grand Caravan and while I only use the middle row for my girls, I have put several different seats in the 3rd row no problem.

I've had a RF snugride, SS1, Comfortsport and FPSVD back there no problems. Infact the FPSVD and the SS1 are RF in it right now. I could run out and get some pictures in a bit if you'd like.
