Quick question... I tried to help a friend install a Graco SnugRide in her 2008 Saturn Outlook tonight... (just happens to be the same carseat we're using for baby) but for the life of me, I couldn't get the base in tight with either the seatbelt or the Latch.
Now I have a different car, and plan on trying to install ours in our car tomorrow, but does anybody have any tips?? I just felt like I couldn't get the base in there snug enough. We had an Evenflo with our first two, but that's expired :P

First things first, if she's installing with LATCH and has a 2nd row bench, the bench - both sides, need to be reclined. (The manual is very clear that the 2nd row seatbacks in the bench model both be reclined an identical amount, and that the seats be reclined when installing with LATCH.) I'm not familiar with the rules regarding the captain chairs if that's what she has - so make sure she reads her vehicle manual.
I had a snugride installed outboard in our Outlook and it easily went in rock solid with LATCH - just make sure that when you're pulling on the tail end of the belt, you're pulling it so that it's parallel to the main webbing, otherwise the adjuster can jam a bit. (This goes for any vehicle though.)
When you're checking for movement, grab the base right where the belt goes through it, and check for side to side movement. As long as you're under 1", you're 100% fine. The back end of the base (closer to the front of the vehicle,) will move around, all that matters is that the seat is tight where the belt goes through.
Make sure she reads both her carseat manual and her vehicle manual, and if you can find a tech around you, that is always a good idea too.
