As you crank up the harness height on the BLVD the comfort foam moves up too. (I am assuming this happens with everyones seat, right?)
It seems super uncomfortable to me. I know children have a different take on what's comfortable, but it bothers ME alot.
Anyway, If I purchased extra comfort foam from Britax, could I cut a square and fill in the space that has been moved up?
It's a theory I have..... what's your :twocents:?

I wouldn't. Britax will say no if you asked them, and the edge of a piece of foam isn't a hard ridge, most seats have foam that doesn't fill the seat, only certain areas behind head or shoulder, and kids don't complain.

This is a peeve I have with the Boulevard. If you start using it for a baby, you won't know about this until your kiddo is older and the seat is far out of warranty. Not that it's really a warranty issue, more of a design issue.
I know it shouldn't be a problem for normal kids. DD is one of the abnormal ones & she had terrible head slump in this seat (as in neck is almost at a 90 degree angle). That pushed her back harder into the seat right where there is no foam. She actually got red sores in the exact pattern of the holes in the plastic shell. I realize that wouldn't happen to the majority of kids, but you'd think they'd have a different design or an extra foam insert or something.
I personally wouldn't alter the seat and put a piece of foam there. Who knows-maybe in some completely off the wall way the seat fails testing with it there.
