View Full Version : Anyone else experiencing slowness with the forums today?

I just had a page take 50 seconds to start loading (i.e., I open in new window, and the new window stays white with a "waiting for car-seat.org" message at the bottom for 50 seconds before it finally starts to do anything). It's not every page, I load, but it's been happening off and on since yesterday.

I have noticed it for the past few days.:( Like you said UlrikeDG it is off/on and not every page. I thought is was my computer, but this is the only site that I am having the slowness with.:shrug-shoulders:

I've noticed slowness recently, with it being worse this morning. Several times pages just timed out. It's a bummer.

Same here. It is a lot slower this morning then it was yesterday. Getting timeout notices too.

It's slow for me as well.
I also noticed that when I hit "new posts" that it is displaying 50 posts on one page where as before there were only 25 posts per page.

That is a change that Admin made yesterday. I doubt that it's related to today's slowness.

page loading is not noticeably slow for me, but submitting a post can take minutes and sometimes times out.

Yes, very slow at times. And there was a spot where I tried to post but had signed in again on a different window in the meantime, and I couldn't get it to quick reply even after re-loading that page. I had to go to ucercp and load it all over again from scratch, then reply.

I submitted a ticket earlier. Seems better for me now that it was an hour ago.

It might be related, except that it has been slow off and on since before that change. I'm going to set it back a notch for the time being.

Mine's stalling too. I jinxed myself - read this thread and said "Nope - no problems."

I am told it was another denial of service attack. The service provider has mostly resolved the attack for now. Is it working better?

Not really. I had to click several times just to get this post to load. It just sat there trying but not doing anything.
This has happened a couple of times today, posts not "opening".

How bout now? The provider resolved the attack earlier today and believes everything should be back to normal now.

I haven't had any trouble today.
(At least, not that I can remember.)

I just had to reload the entire site because posts wouldn't open.

I just clicked on a user's name, then clicked on "View all Posts", and I got an error message. I also just had problems opening the third page of a thread. I had to refresh the page a few times before it would pull up.
