As some of you have probably read, the family I nanny for is about ready to have baby #2. The other little girl will be 23 months when the baby is born.
They have a Bob Rev. that they (and I) use now for the one kid. They were set on getting a double Bob when the next one comes.
They recently saw a Phil and Teds with the doubles kit and really liked that.
What would you guys recommend? I am just afraid that the oldest will still need to be in a stroller when the doubles seat is too small for the baby. Especially if we take the kids with us when we run.

I love my P&T and was playing with a BOB at Buy Buy Baby thinking "How could anyone chose this over the P&T!?"
When DD was in the infant carrier, I just had the stroller in infant mode and put the whole car seat in there with toddler on top.
By the time the baby is out of the bucket, she will be fine in the second seat.
It gets through all store aisles easily, even clothing stores where they have the racks super close together. I could never shop at my Childrens Place or Gap outlet with a side by side.
I  my Phil & Ted's and I am thinking of selling it on Ebay to fund the purchase of a brand new one.
You may be asking youself what a person with a nearly $500 stroller is doing shopping at TCP and Gap outlets.... I spent all of my money a stroller and car seats.

I adored my P&T E3V2 and Aiden would still try and hop a ride in the toddler seat down below if I let him. He could still get in there at 47" tall and 39lbs, but I wouldn't let him. :D
It was my all time favourite double because it was *so* versatile. :)

But haven't your kids in the doubles seat on the back been upset that they couldn't see where they were going? Does it seem like they are upset for being in such a tight space?

My kids (6 - 7 different kids have been in that stroller) have *all* fought over who got to sit in the "cool, bottom seat". :D

We still love our P&Ts.
I used it as my primary stroller from before DS was born till DD was 4.75 and hardly ever rode it anymore. We still take it on long trips, or for all day/long trips. Both kids LOVE the back seat. I never used it with my infant seat. I always layed DS in the back and put DD in the front (infant/toddler mode) until DS was big enough to sit in one of the seats. DD still fits great in the front and okay in the back at 5 yr and 42ish lb. (She is technicall too heavy for the back seat...but I still let her sit there for short ammts of time.
I would probably still be using it as a primary stroller, except I just cleaned it and want it to be nice for when #3 arrives and I don't want to clean it again- especially once I get big. So, I'm using my old, beloved Zooper Rhumba for DS for now.

My DS at over 40 pounds and almost 3 yrs old LOVES the back seat and refuses to sit in the front seat.
Just never let any child onto the rear seat without weight in the front seat first. My son got pretty banged up when he tried climbing on the back when no one was looking.

Nope! My 4 yr-old still wants to ride in the back! I let him occasionally, though he's over the weight limit by about 5 lbs. And when DS2 was a baby, I would recline the front seat to put the carseat up there, and it gave him less space in the back, but he never cared! Now he's too tall to fit with the front seat reclined. I look forward to using it again with DS2 & #3, especially since they'll be closer in age than DS1 & DS2.

My 17 month old has no complaints in the back. The 3 year old however has complaints on sitting up front!
Like other posters have said, they all want to ride in the "cool" back seat.
And like a PP said, always have weight in the front seat if no one's in it. I always put my diaper bag there now if my older one gets out. It's not a huge amount of weight but it's something. We had quite the fall this summer when DD1 tried to climb in back without me seeing.
However I  my P & T! I probably will never buy another stroller. When I'm done having two in strollers I still have a pretty cool single stroller :)

sorry but I personally liked it but didn't. You can't get into the P&T's basket with the infant seat in the back.
I have the bob revolution and I LOVE it. Has a higher weight limit, I believe it is 50lbs per seat. Turns like a dream. I actually personally didn't like the P&T's. I haven't found a store I can't fit in and you really don't lose value on it. :twocents:

Do you mean running, as in jogging? If so, then the BOB might be a better choice with it's 16" rear wheels, suspension system, and the fact that the front wheel locks in forward position (more like a true running/jogging stroller). It also has a tracking adjustment mechanism.
I have a single BOB and love it for the light running I do. I saw a P&T IRL last night and while I love the unique it fits two kids, I would go with a BOB double if I planned to continue jogging with two kids. But if just for shopping, walks, etc... I would seriously consider a P&T.

Is it wrong that I think getting pg. again would be awesome just so I could use a P&T? I've been lusting after one forever.....

Well they already have a single Bob and we all LOVE it!!! It is our casual walk around the block, jogging, and going to the beach stroller. I would rather have the double Bob but since I am not the one buying it I don't have the final say. I am just trying to get some input from all of you who have used both the strollers.
We're trying to find the stroller for 2 that will do it all! (yeah right) So if you have any better suggestions let me know!
