I wanted to make a wrap to use for the next baby coming (one like a Moby). How many yards of fabric would I need to use?

also do you know how many yards to make one for a child?

I use 6 yards. HTH!

ETA: I've never made one for a child, but I can measure my DS when he gets home from MIL's.

check out www.mamatoto.org --it's my one stop destination for all my babywearing info needs. 6 yards will definitly do it, but if lots of excess fabric is likely to make you trip, and depending on the wraps you favor you can often get away with as few as 4ish depending on your size. I'll have to measure mine again. I know they aren't 6 yards and I can do most wraps with them, but not all.

Where do you get your wrapping instructions from? Anywhere else then the link you posted?

Yes, they have videos & picture tutorials galore. They divide it so you can look it up by type of carrier, child's age, or position (back, front, hip, etc). It's my favorite site ever.
