Crotch measurements for Frontier?

Trying to decide between a Graco Nautilus and a Britax Frontier for my 5-yr-old (42 lbs, 43") and at the store today (BRU) noticed that the bottom crotch strap was under my son's bottom. I mentioned it to the sales rep but he said it was fine. And I forgot to ask which slot it was in. :(

I came home and saw the thread here where a few people mentioned that there is little space for some children... I also saw the post with the great Frontier review and pictures illustrating the two slot distances from the back of the seat: either 5" or 7" to the crotch strap point.

Can someone tell me the actual measurement for the Frontier, from the assembled bottom back of the harness seat to the furthest crotch strap slot?

I meant the Nautilus review; that's the one that had the 5" and 7" crotch strap point on the seat. Sorry for the confusion!

I am interested in finding out the same measurement for the Frontier. I think that will be the determining factor for my 5-yr-old.

I think I can answer my own question. The Britax site lists this for the Frontier:

Buckle Strap Depth (in) 5 / 6.5 / 8.25

I think that's the measurement I wanted. Going to try it out IRL this weekend.

Well, THAT was easy! :D. It's *extremely* roomy, I would guess there's easily enough room to get a kid comfortably to 80 pounds (even if they get too tall for the harness before then, which is more likely...)
