Try pulling the seat an inch or two out from the bite of the seat, then kneeling/pushing down with all your weight on the front edge of the Radian (where his feet hang off) while pulling tight ... it usually works with rear-facing seats, though I know it's harder with Radians!

Yes, it'd definitely past 45*.
Your vehicle seat has the kind of angled seat bite where the physical crease is up further than where the actual bottom of the seat really is. Pull the foot of the Radian down off of the raised piece of fabric and then install it. You'll probably end up with quite an upright install due to the boot not being able to slide into the seat bite. You can probably see what I'm talking about best in the last picture - slide it back behind that seam, then try again. I think you'll have better success... Right now that little part is actually increasing the angle on the seat. It is probably handy for some seat installs negating the need for pool noodles or a rolled towel in some instances, but in this case the boot needs to come off of the raised area and that should fix everything.

Ok i put a rolled up towel (taped around it) and put it in the bite of the seat. The Radian kept sliding into the bite if i pulled it away. So this is how it looks now better?

Is the seatbelt stalk ok like this?
http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh255/cleria7th/radianintitan005.jpg
The seat doesnt move im suprised i can get it in his truck since he has the longer stalks. I would put it outerboard but there is no headrest in the middle in the back of his truck:thumbsdown: We have 3 kids. So does it look better?

That looks MUCH better to me! I also bet he will be MUCH happier with it more upright! I think it looks fine now, but I am not a tech!

Sorry. The recline looks better, but the towel isn't allowed. Can you try standing behind the seat and pushing down with your hips, then using one hand to put pressure right on the front edge of the seat while tightening the seatbelt? Hopefully that would allow you to tighten up the seat without it sliding into the bight. I'm somewhat surprised that it's sliding in because the picture looks like it's sloped upwards. It could be the picture is deceiving though.
If you can get a better install outboard, I would honestly rather see him outboard. Are any of your older kids in boosters still? Would a high back booster work for one of them? That would provide the needed head support, and hopefully by the time the booster was outgrown, your ds would be big enough/old enough to be ff'ing. I'm just really not comfortable with the center install unless you can get it in good without the aid of a towel - and without it being over-reclined.
Defrost has some pictures in her blog of how to get the Radian more upright. If you look her up in the member list and then view her blog maybe that will help you out some.
eta: Do the outboard positions have LATCH? Looking at the high placement of the buckle stalk, I'm really not sure if you'll be able to get it more upright. The belt & buckle geometry is such that it's pulling the seat up and in to the bight instead of tightening it downwards into the vehicle seat. To have it stay in the right spot, the belt almost would be on the side of the belt path instead of the bottom of the belt path. I'm just not sure if there's a way to make it work in the middle there. Of course it could be the angle of the picture, I'm just wondering out loud if part of the problem is the buckle stalk geometry...

Or can you pull the towel out now that it's installed with out if affecting your installation? If your not aware on long belt stalks like in your dh truck. You can safely twist the belt stalk up to 3 full (360 degrees) twists to help get the buckle back in the seat belt and out of the belt path.

Really cant use the towel? Its not on top of it like you would other seats its just filling in the hole. Guess i should have looked at the manual more. I normally have the radian in my van but just trying it in dh's truck since it would be easier to get him in and out of the truck in the radian vs. the blvd.
I was behind the seat pushing down with my hips and my hand. When i put him in the seat then it slides up into the bite. (without the towel) there is such a big gap there.
Ill have to try tomorrow my dh went to work and took the truck.
Yes i have one in a hbb the vivo in his truck but it is weird in the middle. I cant put the seatbelt in the shoulderbelt guide of the booster because of how the seatbelt comes fromt he top of the seat. pic below.
here is the blvd in his truck (yes have to twist 2 full times with the blvd and 3 full i with the radian) You can see in this pic it is a big gap there crazy.

Now the seatbelt with the hbb

My 12 year old uses a backless in his truck since the seat belts makes the seat belt not fit her or even me for that matter in the back.

Yes, the fact that it's "just filling the hole" is the problem. In a crash, it's going to compress quite a lot, which is fine if the only thing it's doing is adjusting the recline angle as it's usually used. In this case, it's making your install seem tight, but as you said - if you take the towel out, the seat slides into that gap, which is what it would do in a crash with the towel.
Does that make sense?

Ok i just ended up using latch outer board but whoever sits in the front passenger seat is going to eat dash:p Here it is with latch and its weird it doesn't slide up when i use latch. It is up against the front seat and i think Nissan doesn't allow this but most likely nobody will be sitting there.
