Hi -- we just got a ETA to put our 11 month old rear facing in our Honda Odyssey '08. I'm using the 2nd row captain's seat - drivers side. I installed it the first time using latch and it felt like the latch was interfering with the strap adjusters (could use, but it was overlapping and rubbing). Now, I'm trying the seat-belt and I don't like the install. Laterally, it is pretty snug, but I can push the car seat up on the door size (and hear the seat belt continue to retract as more slack becomes available. I'm hoping someone can give me some suggestions on how to get a good install. Also, the recline is more upright then it should be. Are towels or pool noodles ok? The manual suggests towels. We were hoping to use the Evenflo in the Odyssey (and our Britax Roundabout in our Suburu). We had a great fit with the Britax, but finding a secure spot to connect the tether in the Odyssey was a pain. I'm really hoping we can figure out this install thing. Otherwise, I'm wondering if we can return it. Thanks!

he is a article on here for tethering in an 05 odessey or newer. you can use the leg of the center try where it attaches to the passenger seat. i'll search for the article and try to post the link.

First undue the bottom of the cover on the ETA and make sure the LATCH strap is through the rear facing position and not overlapping the harness on the lower area. It should lay behind the crotch strap and in front of the harness strap. I don't have any pics, but someone will probably some along with one :)

When you are tightening the LATCH strap make sure you have the seat as close to the seat bight as you can and that you are pushing down where their bum goes, not near the bottom of the seat. If that doesn't help getting it more reclined then a tightly rolled towel of a pool noodle is accaptable to use under the base at the seat bight. Remember at your sons age up to a 30degree angle is acceptable, as long as he seems comfortable with it.

Good Luck

Thanks! Pushing the seat as far forward at the base towards the bight was the key. The latch straps moved into a better position (more like in the brochure picture), the recline is perfect and I got a very solid installation. I think I tore a shoulder muscle, but that is another story. Now, I'm pretty pleased with the seat and my child seems super comfortable.
