My 3 year old DS starts school tomorrow. He will be picked up daily by a friend of mine. I am going over today to install the decathlon in her car. I am not sure exactly what car she has, but I am 99% sure it is a cadillac.

My question is, if there is not a dedicated latch for the center, does cadillac allow borrowing?

Thanks so much!!!

Good thinking to plan ahead for the first day of school and carseat installation details. Some Cadillac models do have a dedicated set of center lower LATCH anchors. If not, GM allows borrowing of outboard lower LATCH anchors to install in a center seating position if the child restraint manufacturer also allows borrowing. Britax allows it, so you are allowed to install your Decathlon with LATCH in the center rear in a LATCH-equipped Cadillac. I'm guessing your 3 year old is under 48 lbs., but just in case or for future reference, the child weight limit for lower LATCH installations is 48 lbs. in GM vehicles. :)

Thank you!! When I got there, there was a dedicated center latch, and the install was very easy. Yes, he only weighs about 31 lbs with full clothes on, so we have a long way to go before we have to worry about the latch limit.

You're welcome. :) Best wishes on the first day of school tomorrow. School resumes here in two more weeks for my oldest.
