Tether Question

I have a Regent that I'm trying to install in the 3rd row of a 2005 Ford Freestar. The top tether anchor is in the middle. Can I only install the seat in the middle? or could I use the top tether in any seating position as long as only one car seat was tethered? My manual was a little unclear on this. Thanks in advance!

You can only use the centre position in this case.

Usually, you would only be able to use the center, yes.

However, my last vehicle was a 2005 Freestar :) I was unable to achieve proper installation in the center with the seatbelt (for the Husky: older version of the Regent). LATCH was fine, but not seatbelt. If your child is over the LATCH limits then you'll need to move the seat outboard to achieve correct installation.

Britax & Ford both gave me the OK to tether to the center from the outboard given that the seatbelt installation in the center was not secure.
