Hi all,

I have a major problem, I have tightened the straps on my twins as far as allows me to go, but it is still somewhat loose… When I look at the back, the strap goes till there is a Y in the strap that feeds into the seat base (I don’t know if this explanation makes any sense to you guys…), and it wont’ go any further than that… This still leaves a lot of slack on the strap upfront. I am not sure how to fix the problem.

Has anyone experienced this problem? I have two new Alpha Omega Elite car seats, both with same problem.

By the way, my babies aren’t that small either… They are 6 month old. Mia is 17 lbs 10 oz at 26.5” and Andrew is 16 lbs 7 oz at 25.5” (just got back from their 6th month check up, so I know their size pretty well… lol).

I don’t understand, why I cannot tighten the straps properly….

Any help, suggestions? Shall I call the manufacturers help line or something??

Reach behind the seat and push down on the metal hook that the straps connect to to pull out the slack in the harness. Then pull the adjuster strap.

When that metal piece has to make the turn to go under the car seat, it tends to get hung up. It happens with a lot of seats. As your kids get bigger, it should be less of an issue. HTH!

What seats are you using for them? That might help us help you better! The PP had a good suggestion though. I would do that when I was having issues getting my Scenera tight enough.
