I can't get it installed with the seat belt in my Honda Pilot. I have to install it in the back row with the seat and can't get it tight enough. I've even had the 250lb dh sitting in it and pushing the recline bar into the back of the seat and STILL can't get it within the 1" movement allowance. I'm going insane and dh keeps telling me to take it back and put ds back into the backless booster seat. I've even tried it with the metal locking clip. I have NEVER had this much issue installing a car seat!

Are you installing it short belt path? Have you tried reaching through the cover slits at the beltpath and pulling straight back on the seatbelt instead of pulling from the side?

Why not trade it in on a Britax Frontier instead? I am thinking about selling my Regent and getting the Frontier.

Since ds is over 40lbs, I was doing the short path with the belt. I need to put the seat on the drivers side in the last row.

I've tried pulling the seat belt from every way I can think of.

Can you recline the seatback in the pilots? If so, recline the seat a little, get the regent as tight as you can possibly get it, then push the back of the seat up as far as you can get it. I have to do it that way to install the beast in my mil's 03 rav-4.

I have an 06 pilot and I have tried installing it 3rd row passenger and it did not work for me bc the car seat is to big for the seat and it was hard for me to get the seat belt buckeled. I never have tried the middle one. The best spot I found in the 3rd row is the drivers side. I had to do it 2 weeks ago and got a great install using the long belt path using seat belt. I have not used the short belt path yet, my daughter has 2lb left till I need to switch it. Correst me any one if I am wrong. Good luck
