i was just wondering if anyone else drives a honda accord? i have a 1999 one and carseat don't seem to secure well it them. and i don't think i have latch system in it!

you probably dont have latch, but that is ok. I would take it to a tech and see what they can teach you about installing in your car. What seats have you tried and what positions? Try walking us through what you do.

i have an evenflo titan in it right now rear facing. and it have a place to run the seatbelt tho, i just can't get the seat belt tight enough. i've pushed, pulled and done everything i can to tighten it, it just won't tighten. i'll definately take it to a car tech tho. here in athens ga they have car seat techs at the 2 hospitals in town every saturday and they check your car seat for free.

are you using a locking clip or just the locking seatbelts? do the seatbelts lock at the buckle or lock when you pull them all the way out?

whats a locking clip? the seatbelts lock sometimes. when you like have it buckled. i'm not sure about when you pull them all the way out, they're really long...

you should have the seat locked in there someway. the locking clip is a metal I shaped piece that is included with the seat(usually on the shell somewhere). Do you have the manual for your seat? Read it front to back and it should explain anything about the locking clip.
You should either use the seatbelt that is locked 100% or the locking clip. If it only locks sometimes then that would be the emergency lock. The automatic lock is when you pull it all the way out of the retractor and then as you feed a little back in and try to pull back out it wont. and it should make a faint clicking noise as you feed it back in.
This may be why you cant get it as tight.

Your seatbelts are required by law to lock in some way - either at the latchplate or at the retractor. You should not need a locking clip at all.
