Graco Nautilus in Canada? Anyone have a date?

Hello ladies -- I "know" some of you from the Baby Bargains forums....

Just wondering if anyone has got an ETA on the Graco Nautilus in Canada?? I've been in contact with the head guy there a couple of times and he says its coming, but won't commit to a date.

Anyone have a date for me? I've got a GC to TJs Kids in Vancouver that will expire next winter (Feb 09) and I'd sure like to use it on a GN or possibly a Frontier if TJs ever gets them in stock....

If Graco doesn't know their release date, we certainly don't :) We'd only be speculating.

As far as TJs goes--they supposedly were sent all US-stickered seats. If this is really the case, it's a good thing they apparently caught it before releasing them. Although Customs can be unpredictable, they should have their new shipment soon.

I haven't emailed Graco recently, but last I did they told me they were "hoping" to have it here before the new year. A reliable source ;) here on the board said it could be as early as end of august, leading me to believe it may have passed CMVSS standards and it's just a matter of being shipped.

So I'd say Feb 09 is probably reasonable to expect them to be here by then - although will TJ's carry it when it arrives? That may be something else to consider...

My personal guesstimate is October, but there's really no way of knowing until it's seen in stores. :thumbsup:

That's interesting about TJs -- so they actually had their grubby paws on some GNs? Huh. When I called, they claimed that no such seat existed.

I em'd Graco in mid-July and was told they didn't know patterns (I don't care) and "couldn't quite say" when it would be in stores.

I would think TJs would carry it, but could be wrong. I mean, they carry the Crappo-Sport, why not the GN? I could always get a FR but am looking for higher top slots as DD#1 is already in RNs.

TJs was referring to the Frontier--since the Nautilus isn't out yet.. I should clarify that. They were sent the wrong Frontiers, apparently...

Someone from Graco had mentioned May/June, which has obviously passed. I'm debating what to get also for my 5 yr old who needs to pass his MA on. Do I get the Nautilus, Frontier, Radian?

I'm trying to remember which has the highest harness slot height, or are they all about the same?

Oh, and it was me they told they got all US Frontiers. They had all the new Britax seats except the Frontier, had never heard of the GN, and said "for sure" they'd have the Monterey in stock in September.

THe GN has the higher top slot height, which is why I'm wanting that instead of the Frontier.

FYI, Baby's World in Coquitlam BC definitely had the Frontier in stock as I got a call in July about that. I didn't purchase one as I would prefer to (1) use my GC at TJs and (2) get the higher top slot of the GN. DD#1 still has plenty of room in her RNs, what is pushing me to get a new seat is the GC burning a hole in my wallet, LOL.
