Anyone know if a cover for a BLVD with older style head wings will fit on the shell of a newer style one? Britax is (possibly) replacing our defective BLVD but said I could keep the cover. If it won't fit the new seat I may try to sell it, as it's less than a year old and in great shape. -Linda

I don't believe so. The BV covers available on Britax's website (http://www.britaxusa.com/shopping/parts.aspx) specify pre/post June 06, 2008 with the difference being the headwings.

linda, can i ask what's defective with your blvd? i'm having issues with my headwings not staying back and leaving a 2 1/2" gap. just wondering if it's the same issue. i haven't called about it yet, i think i'm afraid of what they will tell me.

Our adjuster strap keeps fraying, and it's really really difficult (as in, takes all my strength) to tighten the harness. Sometimes it won't loosen either. We just got the replacement (with a DOM of 7/28/08!!) and it's unbelievable, the difference between the two. I hope Britax agrees with me that there's something seriously wrong with the old one.
We've never had a problem with the head wings, though I've read a lot on here about people having issues with head slump. (DS is still RF but also very upright, so we'll see if it's an issue when he turns around.)
Crunchier, thanks for the info.

I might be having this problem too. Let me know what they say when you call in. My DS isn't having an comfort problems. Is there a safety issue?

Well, if they told you you could keep the cover, maybe the old cover fits on the new seats, but not vice versa? I would call and ask.
