View Full Version : Safeseat at not a 45 angle???

DD is 11 months now, is there a way, we can put it so it is a little more upright??

any insight as we have only ever had it at 45 angle and want a little more upright

Yes, you can have it a bit more upright, as long as the indicator is still in the acceptable area. It's a pretty broad range, so while you may not be able to acheive the minimum 30 degrees for a rf seat, you can still get quite a bit more upright than the 45 a newborn requires.

but how would i achieve a different angle with the base??

do i just play with the level adjuster

You can push down toward the front of the base as you tighten the belt, not have the adjustable recline foot out as far or a combination of the two.

do i just play with the level adjusterWe just put the adjuster foot all the way in (flat with the rest of the base). On our seats, it created a more upright install, but was still within the "blue" range.

I did that with my Safeseat. Just dial in the adjustable base until the foot is all the way in. I could get my seat quite upright and still be within the acceptable range. My DD really enjoyed it and it freed up a bit of room for the front seats.
