Problems getting harness on Maclaren Volo tight

I just bought a Maclaren Volo for my almost 9 month old and I can't get the shoulder part of the harness tight on him. Has anyone else had that problem? Any suggestions?

Yep, had the same problem. I just thread them through and tied them in a knot behind the slot to get the correct tightness.

Do you have a Volo with 3 sets of slots, and are you using the lowest set of slots because of the child's height?

If so, I recommend weaving the harness through the slots to take up slack. Don't just pass the harness anchor through the lowest slot (where it would anchor from behind the seat fabric). Instead pass it back again (actually forward) through the middle or top slot, anchoring from the front and taking up an extra few inches of harness.
