Hi all.

I posted a question when I was unregistered and you were all very helpful (I ended up getting a true fit and hope to rear face my 2.5 year old again!).

I'm writing on behalf of a friend. She is adopting a babe from South Africa and has purchased an infant seat as well as another seat which she said was the next one up. When I looked at it, it was the Costco Summit (which she is now returning). I told her she would need another seat to extend rear facing. She trusts me to help narrow down her choices. The little girl was born in April and probably won't need this seat until the Decemberish but she would like to keep her eye out for sales.

They have a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker. I know for a fact it does not have lower anchors so it will be a seat belt install probably in the middle seat. She said she'd get the true fit too, but I was wondering which would fit best in her car.

any help is appreciated.

thanks.

Congrats to your friend!

I just got to play with a 2001 Tracker and didn't have problems installing any seat in it. I think the True Fit would fit fine, but I would wait to purchase it since December is a long ways off ;) Also, there is a big Britax sale in September, so she could take advantage of that.

Congrats to your friend too!

I would also wait until Dec or whenever the baby outgrows the infant seat to buy the next seat.

Btw, if you are in Canada, the Britax sale An Aurora mentioned has only been in the US and not applied to Canada at all. Only once in a while we see retailers do their own discounts (like TRU now on one particular MA) but not across the board like in the US.

Sorry, didn't realize it was in the CA forum :o
